Are you a morning person?
- Yes
- No
A yes or no poll is the fastest vote there is, so nearly everyone answers it. Here are 60 that split a room, from easy openers to proper arguments, each ready to launch in one tap.

Most are a plain yes or no; a few add "Maybe" or "Not sure" where a forced choice would push people to guess. Filter by where you are posting.
Facts about yourself that take a second to answer and often surprise the rest of the group.
Bigger questions for a party or a lively group chat. Expect people to explain their vote.
Low-stakes questions about eating and routines that nobody minds answering in public.
Some are for fun, and a few are worth a manager's attention. A quick yes or no is often the most honest answer a team will give.
Tip: for the last three, share the result with the team and name one change you plan to make.
No right answer, and the results split almost evenly. Post one when a chat has gone quiet.
Written from the poster's side, for a creator or a small business account. The result tells you what to post next.
Tip: post the result the next day. It is a second story that writes itself.
No question matches. Clear the search or pick another chip.
They ask for almost nothing: no reading options, no weighing, one tap. Used well, that makes them the quickest way to hear from everyone.

A two-button poll can be answered before someone has decided whether to bother. That is why it suits a busy group chat or a story that is on screen for a few seconds.

For questions about the future or about how people feel, a forced yes or no makes some people pick at random. A third option keeps the result honest. For facts and opinions, leave it out: the split is the fun.

A yes or no answer tells you where people stand, not why. When a result surprises you, follow it with a multiple-choice poll that asks for the reason.
Two options fit every platform below. Launch one here and share the link anywhere, or paste the question into your app's own poll.
| Where | Options per poll | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Poll Maker | Every question on this page | No account to create or vote. Share one link anywhere. |
| Instagram story | Up to 43 | Keep options to a word or two. |
| X | Up to 4, 25 characters each1 | The card on each question says when it fits. |
| Teams chat | Up to 64 | Made with Microsoft Forms inside the chat. |
| Up to 12, 100 characters each2 | Several answers are allowed unless you switch it off. |
It can be answered in a second, it means the same thing to everyone, and the group is likely to split. "Can you whistle?" works. "Are you happy?" does not, because people read it in different ways.
Only when a forced choice would make people guess, for example about plans or feelings. For facts and opinions, two options give a cleaner and more interesting result.
Add the poll sticker to your story and type the question. The two answers can stay as yes and no. If you want a result you can share outside Instagram, launch the same question here and post the link.
A day is plenty in a group chat or a story. For a team decision, close it before the meeting where you will act on the result.
Pick one, launch it, and send the link. You will usually have most of the answers within the hour.
