Workshop One

The questions throughout this survey will ask you about the priorities that stakeholders have already told us to consider and whether you would like to change or add to them.

Network reliability - refers to the everyday performance of the network and its ability to serve our customers: The priorities that stakeholders have told us to consider are;
  • power cut frequency;
  • customer service during power cuts;
  • worst served customers;
  • power cut duration;
  • quality of supply;
  • interconnectivity of the network;
  • overall health of network assets.
Would you add or change anything?
Network resilience - this is the ability of the network to withstand extreme events such as storms or flooding, and having the ability to recover quickly from widespread power black outs: The priorities that stakeholders have told us to consider are;

  • Tree cutting;
  • flood protection;
  • scenario planning/data analysis.
Would you add or change anything?
Cyber resilience - this is the ability of our systems to withstand a cyber attack: The priorities that stakeholders have told us to consider are;

  • Network security;
  • coordinate network planning with other utilities;
  • systems security;
  • incident recovery plans;
  • collaboration to share best practice approaches.
Would you add or change anything?
Whole system approach to acheive net zero - this is an approach to ensure that the energy system as a whole is effectively coordinated so that it delivers best value for consumers in terms of affordability, security and sustainability: The priorities that stakeholders have told us to consider are;

  • Facilitate collaboration between local groups to deliver local energy plans;
  • coordinate network planning with other utilities;
  • localised WPD future energy scenarios;
  • future proof reinforcement;
  • help local communities to acheive net zero carbon emissions targets.
Would you add or change anything?
Innovation and new services - this is finding better ways of working and adopting innovative ideas to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our services - safely and reliably: The priorities that stakeholders have told us to consider are;

  • Roll-out network flexibility to all areas for commercial customers;
  • roll-out flexibility services for domestic customers;
  • communication;
  • education and advice for customers;
  • support community energy projects to connect to the network;
  • collaborate with industry to offer tariffs to encourage flexibility;
  • facilitate heat pump take up.
Would you add or change anything?
At the face-to-face workshops stakeholders were given three votes per priority for each topic, we have emulated this below by giving you 3 chances to vote.
