Your vote for Hillcrest Netball Club's Jack Petchey winners January - June 2017
ISOBEL ROSS - Over the last 2 years she has suffered with knee problems, despite physio's advising she should stop playing netball she has refused to give up. She has religiously done the many exercise routines that she has been given. This has finally allowed her to play two 15 minute quarters - her goal is to get to play 3 quarters by the end of the year. Whilst on the side lines she is one of the teams most avid advisors shouting plenty of encouragement to the girls.
GEORGIA BURR - Great shooter showing lots of potential and good movement on court. Good attendance at training and matches. She's focused and a great team player. SHe has shown great improvement and has gone from the 5th team to the 3rds.
HOLLY ROACH - Great defender with lots of potential and developing well. Good training attendance and great personality which is good for team morale.
ELLIE HADEN-SCOTT - She is always at training week in, week out (even when injured). Ellie helps out when needed, is cool and calm under pressure.
CHARLIE WICKING - Charlie has made a huge improvement in her game this year and has moved from the 5th up to the 2nds in a year. She also is a big help with the Juniors.
SELENA ASHLEE - Great defence in matches and always tries hard at training.
KATHRYN SELF - Defending and confidence has escalated on court as well as her secret shooting ability. She's also always smiling.
LAUREN BROWN - Great improvement throughout the year and has bought a different dynamic (and height) to the first team's defence. Has been a positive player on and off the court.
LEAH WATKINS - She's been a good part of the defence after coming back from injury.
NIAMH SINGLETON - Fab player and always enthusiastic.
ROBERTA LACK - Has helped with the Surrey Schools tournament and umpiring all afternoon and has grown in confidence.
ZARA RUSSELL - A very talented player from Under 12’s. She is always smiling, happy & willing to play in nearly every position when needed. She is popular amongst her peers & coaches alike.
MARNIE EAKINS - Marnie helps with Juniors every week and really gets involved in helping with the session and coming up with ideas herself. She always asks the coaches what she can do to assist and helps clear up equipment without being asked. She is also a great player and whenever she falls down or gets unjured is straight back up without complaint. Great sportsmanship.
