Because of my personal connection with Autism, (well my son has autism), I had to come up with a product to teach him about facial expressions. That was the genesis of the product called Emotiplush.

This is a patent-pending product and I am very proud of writing most of the patent myself and going through product prototyping, sourcing for materials and looking for manufacturers in foreign countries. By the first year (this is the 4th year), I had 10 retailers selling my products all over the world.

My biggest achievement to date was to appear on TOYBOX, an ABC television primetime reality show that was viewed over 6M times. My other awards were FOX valley centers Entrepreneurship Excellence Awards for Innovation in 2016 (This was for 4 different counties and I was one of 100 entries)

Our mission is to spread Love in every possible way and to educate people to the best of our abilities. We are committed to delivering only the best for our bodies, the environment and the world. This means organic, fair-trade ingredients, recyclable and/or reusable packaging sourced from companies committed to sustainability, creative partnerships with people that are doing good work in our communities, and a yearly donation of 5% of our profits to charities and causes that are close to our hearts, which will continue to increase as our company grows.

We aim to continually grow this company as a reflection of who we are and what we believe a company can be. In just our first quarter, we were able to plant 70 trees in California with Cal Fire through our biodegradable holiday ornaments, raise over $100 for Green Star Movement art programs in Chicago through our special edition lip balms, and donated 5% of our profits to Mikva Challenge to inspire our youth to be future leaders and advocates for a just society. As for the positive message and Love that we have spread and experienced through meeting and interacting with so many fantastic people and customers, there is no value that can be put on it. This is what Simply Smita is all about: strengthening our communities and spreading Love.

Created a blog called "Unsung Echoes" where I interview women and ask them what being a woman means to them, and I also interview men to learn how women have impacted their lives.

I am most proud of three things: 1. I am most proud of carving out a career and building a business in a non-traditional domain for an immigrant woman or for that matter any woman: I have eschewed the traditional careers and followed one that did not have a clear path when I first started out. I am one of the owners of Bridge Partnership, a global consultancy working with some of the most progressive leaders and multinational organizations on their leadership and organizational development. (http://bridge-partnership.com/about-bridge/our-team/). Our purpose is to help them recognize the power they have to be a force for good in the world. Every decision they make affects lives, communities and the environment. We work with them to facilitate their awareness of the highest impact they can have and translate that into strategy and leadership. I am most proud that we have built a business that employs several extraordinary people all over the world.

  1. My learning agility that has led me to reinvent myself in my career: I have reinvented myself several times in my career and realize that I have achieved far more than what I set out to when I first arrived in the US 36 years ago. I have been a stay at home mother, a graduate student, and then started out building my career first in large corporations and then as an entrepreneur. At every stage I have followed my passion and developed the skills to respond to the need I felt most drawn to in my world. I have followed my purpose and while the journey has not always been easy, it has given me clarity on what I should do at each stage in my life
  2. The relationships and interests that sustain me and create balance in my life: I am most proud of the relationships, interests and community involvement that create balance in my life. I have lived all over India and now travel the world assimilating the different perspectives, cultures and friendships into my life. I love reading, traveling learning and teaching yoga. My greatest strength is my extended family and friends who have supported me in all the ups and downs of juggling family and a career. My resilience has given my children the courage to follow their passion.

Best trendy and evergreen collections of Indian Outfits

Best price , best quality

It’s a prideful moment for me to share my story with dignified women entrepreneurs. I also extend my gratitude to each and every one who have recognized me and my “Beautiful Ideas”. It’s 2018 and it’s just like yesterday when I took a decision to put my passion into action. It was something I recognized when I loved to dress up in my traditional outfit and could not find any new Indian trends or style with a reasonable price. I decided, if I had to dress with my favorites, I’ve got to bring a little of my India here. That is how my “Beautiful Ideas” was formed. I gave life to Beautiful Ideas with just 25 Kurtis in 2006. Every woman loves to dress beautifully. So, my focus was on beautifying ladies with my beautiful dress collections tagged with a reasonable price. In Beautiful Ideas, it’s never about urging customers to buy impulsively. I want people to get the right outfit that made them look strong and beautiful. When people appreciated me seeing what I did, my confidence grew. It inspired me to open my boutique in 2010. I started selling trendy Indian pieces of jewelry along with apparels. I never went to India to book my orders or got any help back from India. I am proud to say it is me and my customers who build Beautiful Ideas together. They stood by me and helped me learn that their satisfaction is my best earning. Every time I see my clients with my outfits on, it brought fulfillment and smiles to my face. I feel gratitude towards the people who stood by me through my struggles and challenges – challenges that made me strong and taught me two important things: Never to compromise on quality, whatever the situation be, And to give back to the people and society that helped me grow. That idea of giving back to the society, opened up to a reduction in selling prize whenever Beautiful Ideas hits a profit and help a family by supporting kid’s education back in India. I take this moment to tell, all the women out there, something. To achieve in life u don’t need to search for it hither and thither, start by what you know, ask to yourself what you love. The answer to everything is just before you; let your passion drive you, and believe in the magic your passion can unfold. Give life to your beautiful deas. Finally, my “Beautiful Ideas” may mean little to you on a dress tag, but when you grab one, you may understand, it is set with the idea of making you look beautiful when you wear it. It tells that the priced beautiful ideas become priceless when you are clothed with it and value it. In a Nutshell – without you, my beautiful ideas has no beauty. check out our collections at https://www.facebook.com/BeautifulIdeas

Presented my work in numerous juried exhibitions. Fine Art Festival Oakbrook, Glencoe Art Festival, and Buffalo Grove art festival.

Painting is my passion. I try to convert my thoughts in to the painting. I love nature and I try to find beauty, mostly through my photography and try to convert my pictures in to the painting. My current body of work is an extension of happiness that I found spending time in nature and doing meditation. Pictures I have taken of nature made me realize that the true experience that I want my viewers to get is true color and true shapes of nature. In my work, my thoughts and imagination promotes a similar response to the nature that I feel. My small business website:- http://www.blissfulpaintings.com/
