This question haunts me; why does Adnan sound so calm and strong? He says that he is trying to be a good Muslim and talks about the Breakfast Club in prison etc. but I can't buy that. That plus his inability to clear up the times and events on the 13th makes me believe that he was involved in the murder in some way. His life is passing by and yet after so many years in prison, he maintains his cool. It can only make sense if he feels he deserves this fate.

I don't believe Adnan is innocent, I'm sorry, but if you were sitting in prison for a murder you did not commit, someone, anyone, would attest to your whereabouts at some point. Had he truly been at the mosque, there would have been undisputed testimony from multiple people, who, by the way, would have been called as witnesses. He's too vague, and seems to be holding on to the 'prove I did it' theory rather than proving he didn't. However, if I were to see real proof that he was at the mosque, then I would say he is innocent. Jay? Who knows what to make of him and Jen. I would really like to know more about both of their present situations (what kind of adults did they turn out to be). I don't know, thinking of them two and their stupidity with the lies gives me doubt of their innocence. Ughh, so frustrating, how could there have been a conviction when we're all so thoroughly confused?

Adnan is innocent. This has been broadcast since the beginning by Sarah's masterful storytelling so I can't figure out why it's still a question among listeners (and redditers, who just seem lost). Other than burying the body, I don't believe that Jay was involved. He was bad evidence. Hae is rumored to be pregnant and the family's name and honor (Adnan's or Hae's?) is besmirched. No one 'cried Uncle,' so I'd look toward a family member. Both Don and Hae worked at Lenscrafters, so it could be as simple and accidental as a relative of Adnan's (post Homecoming Dance fiasco) who expected them to get married and later found out that a) she was pregnant (from Adnan); b) and was dating someone else. I guess I also have to know more about the pool hall, which is also a good place for accidental meetings. And BTW, what were Stephanie, Krista, and Adnan coordinating on the night of the 12th. The ??? calls must be to a place; what was that place. Lastly, there's something significant about Cathy, her homicide detective in another county father, and Jeff. Jeff knew to turn to Jay to get the job done. When Sarah arrives at Jay's house and "lobbed a grenade" she is acting out the Jay arriving with Adnan at Jeff's. But I don't know enough/have enough detail other than to know that the point is to overturn the case, rather than to prove whether "Jay did it or Adnan did it." She is 'juggling all the balls' including the Nisha call. Which reminds me, the older man in the car with Jay who answers the phone twice and hands it to Jay, and who speaks with an Asian accent could be an Uncle of Adnan's Christina tried to move for a mistrial, citing the cell phone records misuse once she realized they had a)hired an attorney to perfect Jay's statements and b) establish a new timeline; c) inserted a false theory of the crime, etc. Lastly, it seems likely Hae was killed at the library and possibly as simply as mistaking Adnan's car for Adnan, she got in. Her car was known to be undriveable ---it was the one thing Don and Adnan met and assisted Hae about.

There's a difference between not-guilty and innocent. Perhaps, Adnan could be found not-guilty. However, right or wrong, to prove Adnan's innocence, a viable alternative - suspect and narrative - must emerge.
