Sachin Govind
Accepted to and attending Johns Hopkins University, currently holds 4.0 GPA and is ranked top in class.
Two-time recipient of Presidential Award for Academic Excellence. One of United States delegates to the International Student Science Fair, where he won an award for work done in cardiology research. Aside from excelling in academics, sports, and other extra-curricular activities. Sachin is also very engaged in volunteering. He currently volunteers in the Pediatric and Adult Emergency Departments at Johns Hopkins Hospital. There, he has recently been promoted to the Research and Special Projects Coordinator in the Pediatric Emergency Department.
As a student, Sachin is very involved with research and has completed four research investigations, spanning oncology, theoretical computer science, cardiology and machine learning in medicine. For his research in angiology and cardiology, he was selected to be one of the United States delegates to the International Student Science Fair in Melbourne, Australia, where he won an award for outstanding oral presentation.
Sachin is also very engaged in mathematics competitions. He has been a top scorer in the American Math Competition, participated in the Harvard-MIT Mathematics Tournament, and has placed top in several other regional and inter-state Math competitions. Sachin is currently pursuing a Molecular and Cellular Biology degree from Johns Hopkins University and is considering adding a minor in Applied Mathematics and Statistics. He is completing his pre-medical requirements and is looking to attend medical school in the following years.
